After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1982 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mike Schacht worked for Westinghouse for four years as a field engineer, specializing in airborne electronic warfare systems. Mike graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 1989. He was registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1989. After graduation, Mike worked for one year at Adachi International, a Japanese patent law firm located in Nagoya, Japan and was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1990. Mike was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1991.
A native of Bellingham, Washington, Mike returned to his hometown in 1991 to live with his wife Lila and their sons James, Erik, and Stefan.
